Good afternoon,
I wanted to pass along that this morning the City released the details on a rent and utility assistance program it is running in conjunction with the United Way. United Way is receiving more than 23 million dollars to assist families in Duval County who need help getting caught up with their rent, and even possibly pay it for a few months going forward. JEA is receiving about 5 million to assist in getting utility bills caught up. The website below has all the information regarding the programs, including who qualifies and how and where to apply, both online and in person. Applications will be accepted starting Monday morning at 8am and will be accepted through April 9 at 6pm.
